    1/2-1 cup butter

    3/4 pint half and half or heavy cream

    Fresh crushed garlic

    Never-enough parmesan cheese

    salt and pepper to taste

    I usually add crushed red pepper, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, sautéed spinach or broccoli

    I’m sure it’s delicious, but that sauce is all kinds of broken. If you want to use butter, you should make a roux. Better yet, just simmer the cream with some cracked cloves of garlic until it’s garlicky/reduced some, and stir in the cheese. Never breaks.
