I’d eat that.
TrauMedic
Solid rare, would eat. Looks like it could use some finishing salt or a nice sauce.

You will get really ill! You should send it to my house immediately so I can safely dispose of it for you.

you’re aware that people eat fully raw steak without getting ill, right. Tartare?
TheUn4Given361
Raw steak rarely makes anyone ill if it isn’t contaminated. As long as you don’t have a compromised immune system, it’s very much so safe to eat. It looks delicious! If my steak isn’t mooing at me on my plate, I don’t want it
wonkydonks
That looks terrible, and definitely shouldn’t eat it.
Please cook the rest the same way and send over to me for disposal before you get yourself sick.

Many people would call this perfect

Worst that happens, you have a bit of gotta go now. But most likely not. 🤷🏼♂️

You could quite literally cut a chunk off of a live cow, clean it, and eat it raw and be fine. This is quite edible.
bulldogsm
properly butchered and maintained beef is perfectly wholesome raw, tartare and carpaccio for example
it’s pig and chicken that are super problematic

You could literally eat raw beef and be fine. Beef tartare.
ShnickityShnoo
Perfection.
tiboldpinkus

If I ordered medium rare & received this I’d be completely happy.
Jkingsle
Looks great.
dantenow
i would eat it
hackedtilltheykillme
You are fine I eat straight raw beef
USAFVet91
Eat it!
Maleficent-Thanks-85
That’s a perfect rare. I am a medium rare guy but I’d eat that without question.
scerbs13

Ok-Director-4992
Perfect

Only real problem I find with steaks these rare is the plate life. After 5-8 minutes it gets too cold to really enjoy imo. Thus having a larger portion at this temp does not always work.

bottom side doesn’t seem browned enough. as far as i know, the bacteria gets onto the surface and grows there, it can’t go deep into the meat though, that’s why you sear each side to kill all the bacteria on the surface
BigCryptographer2034
My rule is that it has to have the consistency of meat, not mush

Looks like rare plus which yours looks about perfect to me. Good job.

No, do not eat it you will die.
You could eat it right out of the package if you wanted to, it’s not chicken
nom nom nom
I’d love it. Almost zero chance of being ill from it.
I’ll be ill if you don’t eat it.
Looks deelicious!
I don’t even like rare and I’d eat it
If you’re eating beef that can make you sick from not cooking it then you’re eating the wrong beef
Low chance of getting ill. High chance it’s delicious.
If you *don’t* eat that, I’ll get ill.
Yum yum. Eat that.
Perfect rare.
