I bought myself some grated parmigiano reggiano, but is this how it's supposed to look like…? Talking about the green parts.

that’s mold.
life hack, never get the cheese out with your fingers. Use a spoon or sprinkle straight out of the bag. It’ll keep for longer.

It’s gone so bad it’s now penicillin.

Ugh. Blue mold on Parmigiano, this is to be thrown. Sorry.

Not good, buy a block next time and you can just cut off any bad bits.

Don’t buy grated Parmesan for this exact reason (besides quality and price). It goes bad within a few days of being opened. A whole piece of Parmesan will stay good for months. If you are too lazy to grate cheese you don’t deserve cheese.

Don’t buy pre-grated cheese:
It’s like no effort to grate your own. They also charge more for it. They also often coat it to prevent it clumping. It also grows mould much more easily as a result of being higher surface area.
It’s completely stupid, and it’s one of those tiny things that when I see makes me think “yep, humanity is fucked”.
