As mentioned in the title, this is my first time growing cucumbers. All of my cucumbers have this powdery like coating on them. It rubs right off with a wet paper towel. Wanted to make sure they would still be edible or if there’s an actual issue

Pull it my friend, when ends start to yellow it’s a sign they will start to produce seeds and can become bitter if left on too long

The color is normal. Nothing wrong. But, it needs to be harvested right now. Cucumbers left on the vine too long can adversely affect the productivity of the vine.

2-3 more days and you will have a beauty

It appears normal to me. Sometimes cucs have odd shapes because of inconsistent rainfall, I believe.

Pickling cucumbers look like this. Pick small so you don’t get overwhelmed. Also, pickling cucumbers taste like ass if they get too big so don’t leave em in too long

You can actually buy molds to have them grow into, I had a Winnie the Pooh one for beef tomato’s and it was great

It’s time to pick the cucumber. You don’t want to allow it to get yellow as it’ll become bitter.

Just wait until they start getting that late season kinky. This one is perfect.
