hey there welcome today we’re diving into a classic Italian Dish that’s both simple and delicious get ready to learn how to make spaghetti ago aolo let’s get started all right let’s go over the ingredients you’ll need 400 G or 14 oz of spaghetti six cloves of garlic thinly sliced half a cup of extra virgin olive oil one teaspoon of red pepper flakes but feel free to adjust to taste a/4 cup of fresh parsley finely chopped salt to taste and optionally freshly graded parmesan cheese and lemon zest now let’s walk through the preparation steps you need to follow to create this delicious dish first things first let’s gather our ingredients make sure everything is measured and prepped before we start cooking thinly slice six cloves of garlic finally chop 1/4 cup of fresh parsley if you’re using par Aron cheese grate it now and set it aside all right now it’s time to boil the spaghetti first fill a large pot with water don’t forget to add a generous amount of salt this will really enhance the flavor bring it to a boil kind of like a rolling boil once it’s boiling go ahead and add 400 G of spaghetti cook it according to the package instructions until it’s Al Dente which usually takes about 8 to 10 minutes keep an eye on it while the pasta is cooking heat half a cup of extra virgin olive oil in a large Skillet over medium heat add the thinly sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until it turns golden brown and crispy about 2 to 3 minutes be careful not to burn the garlic add one teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté for an additional 30 seconds once the spaghetti is cooked Reserve about 1 cup of pasta cooking water and then drain the pasta add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil toss the spaghetti in the skillet ensuring It is Well coated with the garlic oil if the pasta seems dry add some of the reserved pasta cooking water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached remove the skillet from heat add the finely chopped parsley to the spaghetti and toss to combine season with salt to taste if desired sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese and lemon zest over the top divide the spaghetti among plates or serve it family style enjoy your delicious and simple spaghetti augo aolo
