Probably one of my favorite meals so far: grain and veggie bowl topped with Flower Moroccan Spiced Sardines

    So I finally hopped on the Flower hype train  and I definitely see why these have a cult following. Consider me converted!

    I usually do tinned fish dinners every Thursday and I couldn’t resist the Flowers tonight. I ended up using some of the oil to saute my veggies (zucchini, shallot, and corn) and then gave the grains a quick saute with the veggies to bring it all together. I had some leftover microgreens and pickled beets so those were added to the bowl before I topped everything with the sardines. 

    The sardines themselves were great! I felt like they were a bit more “spiced” compared to Nuri, my veggie and grain blend smelled incredible sauteing on the stove and I could taste it through every bite. Large fish with good texture, soft but not mushy. I would like to try them again just on toast or crackers for a crunchy contrast but they still worked perfectly in the grain bowl. I was excited to see the giant pepper in the can, I can’t get enough of those things! Last, I saw some reviewers mentioning scales but I didn’t notice them in either can; if they were present in my bowl, I couldn’t tell.

    Definitely will be a repeat purchase and I see it being a staple for our Thursday dinners.
