Checked the garden today and found this red STUFF under a Cayenne pepper plant in a raised bed. Is this a mold?? I'm in Maine if that helps.

    Probably slime mold. You can just wash it away with a hose, or scrape it off with a shovel and chuck it.

    Usually a sign of good soil conditions too! I get 3xcited seeing most types of fungi that pop up in my veggie garden because it means I’m doing a good job.

    Some generally useless information is that slime moulds can move and are also able to solve mazes.

    This would explain why they always followed me around in Rogue, Larn and Hack.

    Wow! I just found dog puke slime (or whatever it’s called) for the first time in my pumpkin patch the other day. I had no idea what it was either. Yours looks crazy though! Looks like someone threw up ketchup and mustard like someone else said LOL
