Took about 2 hours from start to finish.

Yes, it counts as baking—much more than the eggless refrigerator cheesecakes that get posted here, so you’re fine.

And I know how heavy a homemade lasagna can be. My mom once made one that was so heavy it made the oven rack collapse. That was fun.

  2. It’s a baked pasta, so I say yes! Despite having a sweet tooth, I wish savory baked dishes would be posted here more frequently. ☺️

Mine weigh in around 10lbs because I use at least 7lbs of cheese. Yours looks delicious!

    This looks fabulous!

Thirty years ago my mom bought me a Le Creuset casserole dish. I had just moved into my new townhouse. I made a lasagna in it. Once and never again. The dish is crazy heavy when empty. Then stupid me bakes a lasagna in it! I know the bakeware has a huge fan following. But I put mine in the basement. It has been there for years as it is just too heavy to use.

You so baked. The heavier the better with lasagna!

Looks great, but Ill be the person who points out that a good ragu should take like 4hours minimum, but really more like 8+, and it’s even better if you let it sit overnight before eating/turning it into lasagna. That’s a lot of effort though and yours still looks great as well.

  7. If you baked it, it’s a baked good. Flavor is irrelevant.

  8. you put it in the oven so its baking for me and its looks amazing!

    You aren’t baking. You’re lifting 😎

Nobody makes lasagne wanting a light delicate dish

  11. Oven used? Check.
It’s basically an Italian meat and cheese cake

Previous week I also baked lasagna for the first time. I didn’t expect it, but it was so hearty that two portions a day made me fell completely full

Sure does! Guarantee it wouldn’t have come out as amazingly if it were boiled instead of baked.

  14. If it goes in the oven then it’s considered baking. So yea your good.

I would say this is cooking, but still looks delicious! Baking imo can be sweet or savory, but it must be cake, cookies, or bread. Chocolate mousse, no bake cheese cake, pudding (the liquid kind) are not baking imo, they are “making desserts”. Making lasagna would be cooking in my book. But feel free to disagree. And sent me a piece as “proof” 🤤.
