  1. Chop them down and chop them up. Put in a larger bucket with a lid and fill with water. Leave for a month. Open the bucket and be disgusted by about the worst smell you can imagine. Dilute 1/20 with water and use it to water your plants.

Surprising amount of protein in nettles. And essential amino acids and nutrients.

    Use them like spinach.

De activate the sting by blanching or rubbing in water.
Or dry the lot out, powder it, keep it in jars and use as health boosting addition to your winter dishes.

Cleavers and nettles is a famous springtime detoxing tonic, cleans out your liver from all the meat and chocolate and alcohol you scoffed at Christmas
The first set of cleavers and nettles is best for this, particularly the non stinging nettles with the white flowers, but you’ll have to wait til next yr now

I sting myself with nettles in areas that I have arthritis, best medicine and longer relief than anything I’ve ever tried. I got the idea from a guy who with really bad knees accidentally walked through a patch and when the stinging subsided he felt his knees had been cured! There is some science to it if you want to look it up.
