I saw ads for EverJar on Facebook/instagram, and when I needed something delivered overnight, this is a thing I could add to get that arranged… now I think I’m regretting it, but can keep it if it’s safe and useful? Otherwise I’ll return, thanks!

I got a similar one as a gift last year and it has worked well in keeping dried goods (such as morels) sealed in a jar. If you’re going to use it for that purpose I suggest putting an oxygen absorber in with your dried goods.
I use it for dry goods
Vacuum sealing is not canning.
Not for canning but possibly other types of preserving, like dry goods and spices
Note the promo pic uses fuzzy balls used for crafting, but it’s far enough out to make someone think perhaps for fresh foods too. How some sellers toe the line of false advertising….but those other pics might actually cross the line if it’s showing veggies.
I picked one up last month to use for various dried goods: beans, rice, herbs, oatmeal, lentils, dry soup mixes, flour, and the like. I haven’t tried it yet but really like the idea of organizing my dry goods pantry with easy to see/organize jars. Interested to see if anyone else is using them and how it’s working out.
Since you’re in the canning sub I will assume you know it’s not a stand in for actual canning where your using water, pressure, heat, etc. it’s only for keeping your pantry dry items fresh in jars. Say coffee beans, so they don’t go stale for example. Just thought I’d mention so there’s no confusion.
I dehydrate foods, and make things like my own chickpea flour. It’s great for sealing the jars to keep for a little more long term storage. Keeps the oxygen and humidity out. Worth it in my opinion. Also removes the need for a band on a jar, which I always run low on since they tend to rust.
They vacuum seal, if that’s what you are looking to do then it probably works fine.
Amazing for keeping freeze dried foods crisp.
Absolutely not a form of preservation.
It’s great for keeping crackers, pretzels, etc, fresh and crisp. I use mine all the time.
I just bought this one last week since it was on sale. Sealed up a bunch of dry beans to help them last longer and it worked great on both wide and regular mouthed jars.
I’ve had mine for a year. It works significantly better than the jar attachment i had for my vacuum sealer. I use it occasionally (5 jars a month average probably). I’ve never had to charge it, and the battery is still at about 60%
My vacuum sealer has the jar attachments. I use it for dried goods like others have talked about. I also use it for food storage in the fridge, like fruit, and guacamole takes days to turn brown on top once sealed instead of a few hours normally.
