Been frozen since received. Will it still be ok?

    What’s confusing me is the claim that it’s full blood Japanese wagyu, but the farm isn’t listed. And Saitama is not a recognised anything for Japanese wagyu.

    I’ve heard of dry aged. Wet aged. But freezer aged is a new one.

    If frozen properly meat should be safe indefinitely, which is to say it shouldn’t give you food poisoning. That doesn’t mean it will taste good indefinitely. I’d try it, not much to lose.

    A little seasoning, some Teriyaki sauce at the end. Good eats. Make it really rare though. Cook it over a flashlight. 🤣

  9. I recently smoked 2 freeze packed Tritips from Chico State’s Meat Lab from 2017 and 2019 and they were both still amazing. They were kept frozen from there to my freezer and had zero signs of freezer burn.

    Season it well and go to town. I’ve had nastier looking deep freeze beef before and it tasted fine with salt, pepper, garlic etc. Just be aware any frozen meat won’t taste as good as a fresh cut
