I would also like to dry brine it for 24 hours, would it be a bad idea to dry brine while still frozen?

You can put it in a container under cold running water to help speed up the thawing process. Change out the water every couple hours

Put it in a bowl of water. Change that water out every 30 minutes. Should be good after 2 hours.

Microwave for 23 minutes. It’ll be defrosted and cooked.

Must be really cold where you live.

Don’t microwave it like someone said.

It’ll thaw completely in a sink of water in a couple of hours.

  6. Put it in a bowl of cold water. Don’t quote me on exact time but you’ll probably be in a better situation within 1hr or so. I wouldn’t dry brine with it still frozen.

Bowl of cold water. Should do the trick in 1-2 hours if it’s already been sitting out

  8. Leave it alone. It’ll be fine for the 4th. You can still dry brine it on the 3rd even if not fully thawed.

If you really want, put it in a bowl with running cold water. Will be thawed in no time

  9. Do you have a black cast iron pan? Take it out of plastic and lay it on that on counter. Will thaw faster than you think

Mail it to me. Ill sort it out for you.

  11. Just stick it in the fridge. By noon tomorrow you pull it and salt it and rub some sliced garlic cloves on it and it’ll be fine hawed by the fourth easily

Leave it to sit in some cold water for a couple of hours. Yes, I know, sounds counterintuitive, but if you let it sit in hot water, it can start to grow bacteria leading to food borne illnesses, and it could even start to cook the outside of the meat leaving the inside still frozen.

  13. running water. thermodynamics will displace the cold

Put in a bowl in the sink running under cold water. Will thaw in less than an hour

It’s the 2nd. Put it in the fridge. It’ll be defrosted by Thursday.

Just let it sit on the counter for a few hours. Flip it periodically, and don’t let it get to warm. Once it’s feeling soft put it back in the fridge

Just leave it in the fridge until the fourth and reverse sear or sous vide. It would be fine even if still a little frozen.

I don’t know why this works, but it does leave it in the plastic put it in a pot cover it with water and leave it in the fridge overnight. I’ve thawed pretty big pieces of meat out like that in one night.
