I had a really magical, significant dinner here in the fall of 2007. I was deeply saddened when it closed but maybe nothing is supposed to last forever. One of the best cheese selections of any restaurant, ever (photo below). Would love to hear everyone else's memories of the space.

'Inoteca

Fun Fact #1: David Lee Roth, while working undercover as an EMT in NYC in 2004 was a regular at Inoteca. He lived upstairs and would frequent Inoteca for a triple espresso before starting his EMT shifts.

Fun Fact #2: 98 Rivington is the spot from the cover of the Beastie Boys album "Paul's Boutique".

It was solid and built off of the original, ino. I miss ino as well

It was my go to spot before hitting up a concert in the area. Used to stop there once a month. Loved the wine list, and especially the sommelier. – learned so much about Italian wines. The food wasn’t destination worthy but solid, and sometimes that’s all you need. I still dream about the truffled egg toast.

I wonder if we’ll ever seen a revival of it, though I can’t imagine this type of place doing well on TikTok. I miss the restaurants of this area that focused more on the dining experience (having a good time), vs the one and done ‘must eat’ fighting for reservation appointment dining experience.
