First snack was devilled egg using no egg, was nice.
Second snack was sardine, tasty.
Third snack baby back rib, very good.
Fourth snack was lox, wife said it was decent.
Langoustine followed, very average langoustine, I’ve had a lot tastier.
Turbot and an upgrade to have the wagyu which was £20. Wasn’t the best wagyu I’ve had. The sauces on both dishes were good.
Chocolate and caviar. The best dish, fantastic flavours.
Few closing snacks weren’t memorable.
The service however, was atrocious from start to finish. Walked in, weren’t acknowledged for 5 mins before being taken to the table and having the lunch menu barely explained to us and what was included and what wasn’t. It was explained in full detail to the next table that we overheard. No wine list was offered after the ‘still or sparkling water?’
One very quiet waiter explained one of the dishes. I get it, some people are naturally quiet but when the room is busy, we couldn’t make out what he was saying.
20 mins the ending snacks plate sat on our table without anyone checking on our table, eventually walked to the door and asked if we could pay.

I still think about that chocolate ganache caviar dessert like once a week. Sounds like you had a subpar experience which is too bad because Sola is one of my favorites.
