Made these cheesecake brownies from Connie Weis's "50 More Extreme Brownies" cookbook (which I highly recommend). Looking to come up with an assortment of small desserts for each table at a friend's wedding (modern/sophisticated vibe more than rustic)

Maybe put something around the edges so they look more “clean”. Either put them in a paper cupcake cup or an aluminum one that matches the wedding colors? Or gold leaf or chocolate dipped maybe? They look kind of rough for a wedding. But look really good!

The edges need to be cleaner, but yes

  3. These are absolutely fancy enough. Cleaner edges like the others have said though. I wonder if a knife dipped in boiling water and then wipe dry would help to create a very clean edge? I’m sure there are a lot of tutorials about slicing brownies online though.

Perhaps cutting them into squares will help create cleaner edges (less acute angle and shorter edge).

Yes!, but what if you put them in a decorative cupcake liner like you would for a cookie tray?

Ignoring your question, these look stunning. Would it be possible to post a recipe? I couldn’t find one online and the book isn’t available in my country for a reasonable price.

Yes. But cut when cold and put in a cupcake liner

Yes! I do agree that if the theme is sophisticated these could be touched up with a cleaner edge. Great work!

They are gorgeous! The parallelogram shape and the distinctive marbling really elevates these brownies from the ordinary to the extraordinary!

I recently read in this sub that someone gets nice, clean cuts by chilling the brownies a few hours before cutting them.

  10. Yes. Garnish with mint leaves and maybe some raspberries on the tray and include little tongs.

They look incredible. Sometimes, less is more. Present then exactly like that.

  12. Absolutely! I’m from Pittsburgh and this would be a beautiful addition to a wedding cookie table!!

I would chill them and then slice them, cleaning knife between each cut. I love the shape, makes them look highly sophisticated!!

If at all possible could you share the recipe? If you try and find the recipe online nothing really comes up except ads for her cookbook

  14. Absolutely! These are beautiful 😍 Well done🎯

If the edges still wont look clean after chilling especially the cheesecake part, try using a warm butter knife to smooth the edges

I would look at those and say yummy! I wouldn’t care what they look like!

These paper liners are very pretty:

I can’t seem to add only one image, so the tower with purple and white flowers. If you are in a climate where you can get pansy blooms, they are safe to eat provided they have not been sprayed with a poison. I’m sure a florist could help identify safe flowers.

If you could sugar some blueberries or raspberries and put one or three on top.

Just make certain you have a beautiful display platform.
