Lemon Chiffon Pie via Duncan Hines

I’m a huge Old Hollywood fan and today marks the 76th passing of Carole Landis’a passing. She made a lemon chiffon pie on her last day with us, so I tracked down a recipe from 1948 and settled on this one from Duncan Hines.
This pie is absolute heaven and the best lemon chiffon I’ve ever tasted. I can definitely see why Hines drove 100 miles off path to get a slice. My whole family loved it.
Unfortunately, my son dented it when he put foil on it, so no pictures, but I thought I’d share the recipe with everyone.
