[Music] foreign [Music] is back and I’m back to show you all how easy it is to make a delicious crispy chicken sandwich this crispy chicken sandwich right here absolutely amazing so easy to make doesn’t require a lot of ingredients and if we may continue young style you’re gonna be happy here are the ingredients you will need you’re gonna need some chicken breasts I have thin cut chicken breasts I’ve washed it off with lemon salt and cold water and then we’ve had it dry with a paper towel you’re eating buttermilk now you can use buttermilk and hot sauce if you’re a spicy type person you will need cornstarch a couple of spices so we can make it taste good salt pepper garlic powder paprika parsley flakes you can see we have a tomato and we have some all-purpose flour really any kind of flour will work for you of course you’re going to need some beautiful buns these are the Buns that I decided to use use their gorgeous brioche fun your favorite cheese and we’re gonna mix together mayonnaise and mustard we have some romaine lettuce inside of our pan we have vegetable oil make sure your hands are clean let’s get started with this delicious crispy juicy chicken sandwich Julian stuff let’s season our chicken but before you cook it make sure you let your chicken set out at room temperature at least for 15 minutes I like for that coolness of the chicken to kind of I want to come up to room temperature just a little bit you don’t want your meat to be freezing cold when you go to fry it because it’ll cook up dry once the meat and the protein is nice and relaxed it’ll cook up gorgeous and that’s a promise so now let’s season don’t be afraid to season we need salt we need pepper oh yeah it’s gonna be flavorful garlic powder paprika and repeat so we’re going to flip it over you don’t have to put salt on this side if you don’t want to okay and we’re going to repeat the same steps same spices if you wanted to put a little poultry seasoning on you bet you can all right just like so how quick how simple now I’m highly suggesting when you make this chicken breast that you do like I did and get the thin cut chicken breast if you have the one that’s really big like this then just slice that baby in half and it’ll be the perfect thickness for you in with my all-purpose flour I want to add in some cornstarch cornstarch is going to give you a crispy flaky light and Airy crust so let’s put about a half a cup in if you put in a little bit more it’s okay I promise okay so let’s do that together got a half a cup cornstarch in with your all-purpose flour gorgeous okay and I want to really combine the two just like so in this manner so what we have here is what we like to call a dredging station and we’re going to dredge up our beautiful chicken and the first thing that you should do is take your chicken and put it into something dry which in our case the dry is our cornstarch and our flour and then we’re going to shake it off and then we’re going to dip it into our buttermilk those of you that like a little bit of spice you’re going to put some hot sauce in with your buttermilk okay so into the flour shake it off into the buttermilk shake it off and back into the flour and it’ll be perfectly coated just like so now it’s time to dredge it’s so easy and and when I tell you all to make sure you’re shaking off that excess flour it’s very important because what can happen is well naturally when you go to Fried Chicken flour is going to fall to the bottom of the pan and of course it may get a little burnt right but we can prevent a whole lot of flour going to the bottom of the pan and making your oil taste burnt by just simply shaking it off just like so let’s do it I tell you what my family’s all excited for this recipe a couple years back I’d like to say about three years back I made this exact recipe and for my buns I use Krispy Kreme Donuts everyone could not believe how delicious the chicken was number one and how amazing the chicken in the Krispy Kreme Donuts came together it’s really interesting see how I’m shaking it into the buttermilk like so and then into the flowers Let It Shake off don’t rush we got all you have to rush don’t make it okay so let’s let that drip off as much as possible and then into the flour and I want to coat that baby just like so and then we will give it another shake and then I have a cookie sheet that I’m going to set the chicken on and then in the meantime between time we have some oil and I’d like for you guys to take a look at the oil how much I have in the pan it’s vegetable oil we’re gonna heat it up and the temperature that I’m going to be cooking this chicken on is a medium high don’t yank it up too high and don’t have it cooking on low because it’ll never fry up yeah my husband gets me every time he’s messing with me off get him get him y’all now listen take a look take a look take a look take a look at the chicken it looks kind of crazy right that’s what we want that is crispiness already before it’s fried right and I’ve made sure that I shook it off real good so what we’re doing right now I’ve decided to take my pan with my vegetable oil and heat it up on this stove behind me because that stove gets much hotter versus this induction heater here so now once the oil is nice and hot I’m going to show you how I like to lower the chicken into the pan and you’re going to use if you need to use an internal thermometer you want your chicken to ring 165 internal temperature and it’ll be perfectly done you all know that perfect color that you think of when you think Fried Chicken let’s get our chicken right into the oil I’m going to show you how I like to get it in there nice and gently right before you hit that oil let go no throwing it in and jumping the other way that’s a good way to burn yourself right when you get too low let go very simple so the sauce that I want to show you all how to make for the sandwich it goes perfectly with the sandwich like peas and carrots it’s really simple it’s just mayonnaise this is not the sweet mayonnaise okay and then we’re gonna go in with some mustard mustard and mayonnaise makes for a beautiful sauce okay you determine how much mayonnaise and how much mustard you want to pair together just give it a try one time and tell me that you don’t like it I know you’re gonna love it okay just mix it together just like so and then the next thing that I want to do I want to step in and go ahead I got some beautiful lettuce that I have washed off okay and I’m going to cut up some tomato keep an eye on your chicken cooking you don’t want it to get too you know you don’t want it to get too dark you want that perfect beautiful golden brown color these tomatoes are so fresh a little bit of salt and pepper on there and listen here you’re in heaven beautiful tomatoes just like so when I come back we’re checking in on our chicken it might be time to turn it let’s turn our chicken over oh look at that now that’s the color that I’m happy with beautiful color and then from here don’t bother it don’t you bother it just let it continue to cook we don’t have 165 degrees Fahrenheit golden brown all over what you’re going to get is a nice crispy flaky crust nice juicy and flavorful on the inside our chicken is done to perfection take a look take a look hey oh yeah gorgeous right so now let’s assemble our sandwich the sandwich comes together so quickly your favorite cheese your favorite cheese maybe pepper jack mozzarella provolone we like American here at the Young’s house yellow American is delicious because it melts so well okay so I put the cheese on and now we’re gonna go ahead and put some of this on not too much I think one of the worst things that you can do to a sandwich is dress it too much you don’t want too much dressing too many condiments can mess up something okay just that little bit right there is going to really wow your taste buds okay look at that and if you’re a fan of mustard my goodness you’re gonna love this all right perfect okay and then so we’re gonna put a nice piece of crunchy lettuce we love Romaine here at the Young’s house it’s always crunchy it always promised you a good crunch okay and I also like iceberg lettuce but the iceberg lettuce doesn’t really show up really well in the camera I’m going to let me grab another piece there we go how beautiful let’s set a nice slice of tomato in between it always has to be in between something you don’t want your tomato touch the bun because it’ll make the bun salty so we’re going to put our meat and then there’s a barrier between the meat and the cheese to protect your buns from getting soggy right so let’s do it the whole thing Tina absolutely what are you talking about yes there’s gonna be some hangover and that’s what we’re looking for look at that this right here is what I call a crispy chicken sandwich Gina Young style Nick is um oh I I love how big the chicken is in
