The rest of the plant looks perfectly healthy, but the leaves on the new growth look like this. Any ideas?

  1. It’s possible the plant is underwatered and/or it’s getting too much exposure to hot temperatures so some of the leaves are scorched.

Looks like it needs watered from my experience.

    Either
    a.) needs more water

    Or
b.) squash/stinkbug nymphs are feeding on parts of your cukes. This is what I’m dealing with.

Looks like bacterial wilt to me, especially if the rest of the plant looks normal and is watered properly.

It’s spread by the cucumber beetle. [https://extension.usu.edu/planthealth/ipm/images/agricultural/vegetables/cucurbits/striped-cucumber-beetle.jpg](https://extension.usu.edu/planthealth/ipm/images/agricultural/vegetables/cucurbits/striped-cucumber-beetle.jpg)

Sorry to say, but if this is it your plants are goners. If you have squash or other cucurbit varieties, they may also be susceptible. I lost everything to it last year.

The only thing you can do is plant resistant varieties next year.

  5. Plants wilt like that in high heat to reduce surface area to the sun. It’s a defense mechanism it can come back from when it cools down.

Looks like burnt from watering during hot summer afternoon..water mornings or evenings never during the mid day.

Lost 3 to bacterial wilt this year. I’ve never lost any ot bacteria wilt. The cucumber beetles are out of control. I might have to not grow cucumbers for a while. Or stop with pumpkins.

I have just given up on cukes. Every year is a battle with beetles and wilt.
