Are these cucumbers too big to be good pickles?

    If they’re not woody inside they’re fine. If you can’t use them for pickles you can make relish out of them.

    They’d make fine refrigerator pickles! Maybe not so well for canning.

    They should make acceptable pickles. If you want to make fantastic pickles it would be better to grow a variety designed for pickles.

    I pickle those types all of the time. Love em. Sliced, speared and relish.

    I think the yellow one would be bitter. You could take a little taste first.
