Oh we always had those. Originally a way of making a quick apple pie like snack the day after gyoza. My mum used to make those at home. Often only one or two, because it was genuinely a recipe to use up leftover. Happy memories.

Fruit dumplings can be very yummy, in my country (Poland) fruit pierogi are very popular, especially with fruits like strawberries, blueberries etc. They’re usually eaten with cream or melted butter and sprinkled with sugar.
