Ive been getting into canning and ive always been a big living history buff. I know canning happened before pressure canners existed, im curious if anyone knows any blogs/books/etc that talk about canning history??
I know h townsend did a little bit about it, i need to go search that out again.
Meanwhile… i used my pressure canner for first time and make a ton of beans!
Unfortunately i forgot tip about adding vinegar to water with my first batch and i have lots of smoo. I did remember for 2nd batch. Ended up with 6 half pints (all i had left) and 14 pints.
