Here is my current favorite and easiest bakon recipe, no smoking or curing required:
Just marinate the tofu for 10-30 minutes, then fry it up!
1 block tofu, sliced (firm, extra firm, or super all work. no need to press/drain)
Marinade: 1/2 cup soy sauce
1/8 tsp liquid smoke
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp smoked paprika

At first, I misunderstood your photos to mean you’re making plant based bacon out of smoke wood chips! Then I realized my error. LOL. Still laughing at myself over that one! Thanks for the tip and the recipe. I’m going to try it next. My current trial is freezing tofu and making orange stir fry sauce with it.

Why would you want wavy bacon?
This is genius
Ok but how did you cut the tofu so thinly?!
