This is my second time at Aska and it was better than the first. The scallop dish, lobster + foam, and the last 2 meat courses were completely new and the sauces were perfect. This tasting menu is very straight forward, fish / meat + sauce but they execute it so well. It is very much the style of food I enjoy. There were a few amuse / desserts I didn't picture. I've done a bit of fine dining in the city and I think the chef here just matches my palate perfectly.
The less tangible or relevant stuff is the service was great. They use Zaltos for everything. The plates / silverware is so beautiful. Its a minimalist design but the lighting / feel is perfect. The garden is magical, it sucks they got rid of their cocktail menu because you used to be able to order cocktails in the garden even if you weren't dining for the evening.
