The flavors and textures were simultaneously familiar but then just sent in totally new and wonderful directions. Everything was nicely seasoned. Each plate is a work of art. The huitlacoche pasta course was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. The freaking truffle quesadilla was everything you'd hope a truffle quesadilla would be. And Chef Norm freaking showered it with shaved truffle. Honestly that could have been a supplemental course and I wouldn't have batted an eye. It was that special. Everything we ate – and drank – was fantastic. The cocktails I had were brilliant riffs on classic favorites. And the service was both precise – highly synchronized table drops and the like – but not pretentious. We had an absolute blast. 10/10 could not recommend more. Will definitely be back – likely for the late night Taco Omakase.
