Here is the full recipe: https://nchfp.uga.edu/how/pickle/cucumber-pickles/quick-fresh-pack-dill-pickles/

This recipe has always been my kryptonite. The units of measurement for liquids are in freedom units and as a result this Canadian always screws this particular recipe up, so I figured it was time I finally wrote down the conversions. Can someone please QC my work?

Original Units:

  • 2 gals water
  • 1½ qts vinegar
  • 2 quarts water

Converted Units:

  • 32 cups water (7.57 liters)
  • 6 cups vinegar
  • 8 cups water

Thanks in advance!

Yup, they’re correct PROVIDED that you’re using the US cup measurement of ~237mL and not a 250mL cup.

Might be easier to convert everything to mL:
    1 US gal = 3785.41 mL
    1 US qt = 946.35 mL
    1 US cup = 236.59 mL
