Lunch at Bartolini al Mudec.

I have read comments that the setting is a bit cold and stiff and while I can see where this is coming from, we did en enjoy the restaurant in that perspective

The food was absolutely excellent with only the dessert in our view being overcomplicated. For the rest the menu (eur 375) had quite some outstanding dishes. Most notable: the cold spaghetti with caviar, the risotto, the lamb and the pre-dessert (the black plate).

My biggest issue is the prices of the wines. The wine list (available on the website) is just outrageously priced. We had a lovely bottle of Marc Morey (eur 240, see picture) and subsequently had a burgundy 2019 volnay by the glass that was 90 (!) eur per glass. Without the sommelier sharing that this wine was so expensive upfront. I have no issue with paying a fair price but this is not okay. Will keep me from ever going back.

These are stunningly beautiful but I feel like you would have to fill up on chips and dip at home first to not leave the restaurant feeling famished after finishing this meal.
