As someone who cannot art and has shaking hands these were crazy easy to pick up? As in, what I have on the cake are literally all the ones I made, there was no failed try lol I don’t love the arrangement itself, so maybe next time I’ll make them fewer and smaller so they’ll look like a nice wreath or something but I’m so happy with how they turned out!!

Also: if anyone knows how to make leaves look good hit me up please because I couldn’t figure out how to pinch the ends when I piped them, so they all came looking like they ripped at the tip.
they look soo pretty 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Congratulations 🎉🥹
First try this is very impressive, but either way they are really beautiful, well done!
Those flowers are really really good. As for the leaves, ive tried a few similar tips and had more success with some than others, despite them all being leaf tips. But for the most part, just pulling the piping bag off the initial leaf blob/dollop, should leave a clean pull/pointy end.
I’ve had issues with a touch of grit or dried icing in the piping tip leave me a crunchy or broke edge , really smooth and slightly warmer frosting will pipe cleaner/smoother.
Lastly I’d venture to say taking your fingers, lightly and carefully pinching the leaf tips would probably make them a clean point if you really wanted to tweak them after the fact. Poking a bit with a toothpick can also help touch the ends up if you need to.
The forgiving thing about cake decorating is there’s a bunch of little things you can do to fix imperfections before you can present your work to someone. Even people who’ve done this for years need to fix things on pretty much every cake they make.
Did you go by a video tutorial of some kind?
first?!? I love them!
Can I ask what buttercream recipe you used? The flowers look so beautiful and glossy! 😍
