Ingredients:
1 pillsbury refrigerated pie crust @pillsbury
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp soft unsalted butter
3-4 tbsp apricot or fig jam
The zest of 1 small lemon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 egg
1/2 tbsp milk
Preparation:
Unfold the pie crust and brush a very thin layer of butter. Mix both sugars and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of the butter. Then spread a thin layer of the jam. Add the zest of lemon. Spread the walnuts and roll the dough. Mix the egg and milk and brush the dough well. Slice into 1 inch pieces keeping the slices together. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. It might ooze out a little and that’s ok. Let it cool completely before serving and enjoy.
