I love vanilla ice cream, but this time I wanted to make it with a twist. I love baking with brown butter so I added it into ice cream and let me tell you, brown butter ice cream is INCREDIBLE. It’s like an elevated vanilla bean ice cream with a toasty, caramelized milky flavor. It makes the perfect ice cream sundae base! It goes well with virtually anything.

I’ve been keeping a batch of my brown butter ice cream in the freezer, and when guests come over I serve it with my tart cherry curd, and fresh, ripe berries right from my garden. It’s my little hosting trick that I keep up my sleeve this summer.
