Are the sides tall to prevent direct sunlight?

Great idea? Are the stakes for brussel sprouts? I’m growing them for the first time this year!

  3. This is beautiful!!! Are you preserving or selling? I always make saurkraut when I’m lucky enough to get some. Bravo!!

Everything looks so close, how do you reach what you want?

Where did you get the green fabric covering for it? What’s it called.

Forgive me, but does this stay roofless? I have a similar set up with no roof atm but plan on building one. Thanks

That’s about what I would need over here, just to protect my collards from those persistent cabbage moths. I know, I have some Thuricide BT. Those things just refuse to die off and keep coming back every day.

  8. Omg thank you for posting this!! Last year I did no row covers and my brassica got destroyed, this year I did row covers and realized they are super annoying for weeding and just seeing what’s going on in general. Next year I planned on building wooden cages with netting and hinged tops, but it just popped in my head that I grow so many I might as well do a walk in contraption like this. Excellent inspo. 😊

I have cabbage moths pretty bad but I have so many wasps in my garden now that keep them in check

What are the dimensions? Will this set up work to protect all veggies do you know?

How much do you estimate the whole cage cost? I need to do something like this

  14. Love this idea! I believe I am going to build me a brassica cage for next year’s use. Thank you for sharing your great idea

  15. The broccoli will not be able to run away! No bolting 🙂

Looks great, very cool! I had some purple cauliflower in pots since I live in an apartment, and it did okay, but bolted really early and definitely didn’t gain the outward mass like these.

This is incredible. I want to be like you when I grow up!
