In the final pic, one on the left is a tbone and the one on the right is a porterhouse?

  2. PrestigiousMacaron31

these may as well just be called porterhouse lol. Great find.

trouble with most T-bones I buy is the rib-eye bit is sooooo tiny

I take the bone out and roast them to make stock for arguably the best french onion soup you’ll ever have. Cooking the steak bone in is a huge waste of a beautiful resource.

I have the same paper plates, thermometer, tongs and air fry basket! I even drink those tall miller lites!

What are you doing!? You had better be out of my house when I get home from work. And I sure hoped you cleaned my grill when you were done cooking.

“Love that t-bone! In fact, you may as well just call me…”

The reason they don’t get enough respect is because they’re extremely difficult to cook. The Filet and NY Strip come to temperature at different rates and unless the stars align, on both the cut along the loin and the cook, half the steak is going to be a little off.
I’ve always wanted to do a short loin roast but I know I’m going to end up ruining part of an expensive cut of meat.

My only problem with tbone is that it’s harder to get a good sear in a pan due to the bone

That last pic is doing something for me man 😩

Seem to always be disappointed when buying t bones, for same price point basically Ribeye is the only answer.

  11. Dude, I wish I could get T-bones like that. Lol one of those is definitely a porterhouse.

Disregarding that one is actually a porterhouse, very nice job on the sear and grill marks.

Too many times I see posts with perfectly angled, strong grill marks on an otherwise grey steak. Personally I think grill marks are overrated, but if you can get some nice color with the grill marks, angled nicely like you have, you get amazing steaks like you have here.

T bones were always my favorite growing up.

  14. Reminds me of words from a wise man

“I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull’s ass, but I’d rather take a butcher’s word for it.”

  15. honeybadger1984

Porterhouse, not t-bone. Those filets look way too big. Not complaining though; enjoy them.

  16. teedubbia

Bought time!! I’m all about the T-Bones!! 🥩

One of my earliest baby pictures is me in a highchair sucking a tbone steak bone clean better than our beagle could.

My first name starts with a T, so I had the nickname T-bone for awhile.

    Tbone gang brother.
