New to cooking steaks this is my 2nd one, is this considered rare or medium rare?

    Hard to tell without the temperature, but appears to be medium or medium rare.

    Rare you would have red in the middle. This is in that fine area between medium rare and medium. Looks awesome, I’d gladly eat that up.

    Individuals universally do not understand steak internal temperatures. That is medium. Clear as day medium. Along the outside, it is probably pushing a little past but the thickness looks pretty uniform.

    Kudos for the bold seasoning assuming you’ve gone for as much salt as the pepper. Nice. Medium for me, but looks like a cut that needs it.

  5. Very medium. If your pan a weeee bit hotter and you cooked your steaks a weeee bit shorter you might be at a medium rare.
