30 day dry aged sirloin, served over fresh ceasar salad. JKF method, tender as hell.

Steak over a Caesar is one of my favorites. Quick and simple during the week.

  2. You-Asked-Me

I hate huge croutons, but the rest looks great. I also like my Caesar a little over-dressed.

I’d 100% smash that dish! Steak looks perfectly cooked. Baller dish!

For a simple lunch once or twice a year I love it. Your plate is beautiful.

  5. I don’t do this often but 10/10. Sear, the pink. I’m jealous.

This was my very specific pregnancy craving. 10/10!

Looks great. Makes me wonder why chicken Caesar is so common but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen steak Caesar on a menu.

Brother got me drooling on the screen 🙌🤤

I don’t know how **you** feel. I prefer my foods separated a bit.

A traditional caesar salad is my favourite side for a steak. Particularly if it’s properly dry aged to the point of being almost smelly so it pairs really nicely with the anchovies. An anchovy compound butter (or cafe de paris) is the cherry on top!

  11. I love a real Caesar salad as part of a steak dinner, but I can’t get onboard with a good steak on a good Caesar. If both are bad, whatever.

However steak is antithetical to the ideal balance a true caesar salad strives for.

The heat of a warm streak will wilt the romaine, which must be crisp.

The flavor of the steak, if it’s a good steak, will overwhelm the balance of flavors from the worstecher, garlic and lemon.

Both look great, even better on separate plates.

You know…. I love steak and this is a way to get me to eat greens haha

I love shrimp, chicken & salmon on Caesar, but for some reason the steak has to be separate from the salad 🫣 Why am I this way? 🤣

I like eating a Caesar salad while I cook the steak. That with some green olives and wine gets the stomach ready to devour.

    No hate for combination plating.

You’ve put my food on what my food eats. Is this an abstract modern art piece?

More like Caesar Salad served under steak. Looks great.

Steak on a wedge with bleu cheese crumbles and a bit of dressing

Steak on salad is great if steak is chilled

If chicken, ambient to chilled is fine

When I have shrimp on salad, the shrimp can be chilled or cooked

    That’s just me

Steak doesn’t go bad with anything, imo

  20. xxLOPEZxx

I’ve never had much luck searing a steak over a caesar salad. Usually I do it over the coals on the grill instead

  21. I’d rather have them next to each other, but I wouldn’t complain.

  22. activeseven

I honestly don’t care what you put the steak on.

  23. LazyOldCat

I’d have liked that cut on a bias, but I wouldn’t send it back. 9/10.

  24. BayGiant49er

The restaurant I used to work at had a steak Caesar with blue cheese crumbles and crispy onion strings. It was incredible.

  25. OutdoorEngineer395

Both sound great but why put the hot food on the cold food?

  26. Reinstateswordduels

    Da

Now tell me about this Jesus Khrist Fucking method

  27. NeoMaxiZoomDweebean

Absolutely. Caesar and fries or steak and fries or steak and salad.

  28. DaexValeyard

Sir, this is a meat subreddit. Most here are going to reject the idea of a balanced dinner with vegetables.
