In this short, I show how to never buy sweet potato slips again. This will save you money on sweet potato slips. One sweet potato will give you an endless supply of potato slips. This method calls for sweet potato slips to grow in soil instead of starting in the water. This is one of the easiest ways to get free sweet potato slips.

I’m clueless about this but I will try.
Glad you mentioned that, i had already planned to buy one of those purple beauties. Sure would have been disappointed. Thanks
What’s a slip? Sry
I skipped alot of these steps by growing them in a deep raised bed. They have come back from small pieces of roots that i left in the ground. Once they start sprouting i transplant them all over the bed. Lol.
When is it a good time to do this?
Hey Bear Brown nice roots on that slip . You can also just pull the slip off of the potato and it will already have some roots on it . I have a good example of it in my sweet potato video if you want to see it?❤Great job friend!!!🙂
That’s how they saved many people from hunger because those slips would travel across oceans and still be viable.
Oooh, doing this when I get home from work today! Will this work for white potatoes?
How often do you water in that 3 weeks waiting for the slips?
I never cut my slips. I wonder if anything is growing out there. 😮
Step one…
Ensure that the sweet potato is aged and not fresh, or it won't germinate Slips

Sweet potato is my favorite plant to grow indoors. It's beautiful foliage and grows so fast.
Never happens to me!!! So simple poor results.
GrandMa put her slips in wine jars!!💕
Thankyou for your video much appreciated
You don't have to put the slip in a jar of water.Just plant it in dirt and a new potato grows
What’s a “slip”? My local Walmart charges $1.00 for each sweet potato 🍠. Ridiculous.
I have to try this.
