My local lobstermen sell off the dock, I got lobsters plucked from the ocean Friday. Made my own 4oz lobster roll, touch of Kewpie mayo, tiny squeeze of lemon, buttered and toasted brioche roll.
Cost me $22 for 3 lobsters (total of 8oz picked meat of the tail, knuckle and claw). So in all cost me about $12.50 to make at home. If I weight the tiny legs and body of meat I ate while picking- closer to 9oz, these were very small chix lobsters.
Fresh, local and supporting the working piers in New England.

This is the way. Love being able to get them right off the boat

  2. Great job getting that claw out whole. I suck so bad at that. Beautiful lobster roll you made here. Reconsidering my weekend grocery list now.

Looks delicious! Never had a lobster roll, I’m in MD where it’s all about crabs but I’d love to try one 🙂
