  1. You did great. If you want to extract more flavor of the rosemary and garlic add a big knob of butter when you add them in and baste

You people who post this is your first steak I can’t help but wonder where the fuck have you been? Seriously what took you so w?

side choice for the steak is odd but go u. steak looks good (:

Very nice sear. I’m assuming you did a butter baste. Tenderloin is usually served a bit more rare than that because it’s a lean cut, but if that doneness is your preference then that’s a strong effort.

I like a good avocado, but dang I really like steamed broccoli as my veggie side. I’d smash though

Hadn’t thought of avocado and chili flakes on the side. Sounds delicious.

  9. This was at grandma’s house, wasn’t it?

Just going off the tablecloth / plate.

Steak looks good though, strange choice for a side but I bet the leftovers + eggs cilantro and lime juice will make a BANGIN breakfast burrito for grandma in the morning.

Hard to say. If you cook me one, I’ll be able to give a better opinion.

Wait this can’t be your first time

  12. I’d eat it twice. Have you used the reverse sear method?

I’m starting to get suspicious of all these “never cooked a steak” and posts a perfect steak…… Hmmmm…

This doesn’t look like a I’ve never made a steak before steak. Clearly you have some idea and pretty much no one gets it that good on a first try. I call shenanigans!

Looks textbook to me. Hard to believe this is your first steak from this picture
