This is the first non store brand cheese I’ve ate. So good
Fiancé got it for free from windixie. Taste creamy but slightly grainy with a slight hint of blueberries and what I’d say is almost like Parmesan.

If you get a chance to head to Yorkshire, the farm is absolutely worth a visit. SO many different types of Wensleydale. Their in house restaurant was so good I wanted to hit a food coma afterwards. Lots of small breweries in the area too.

The Ned Palmer book A Cheesemonger’s History of the British Isles has a chapter on the survival of the dairy in Wensleydale, it’s worth a read.
For my money, their Kit Calvert cheese is the best they produce.

I’d love to find some that didn’t have fruit in it. There’s always cranberry or something.

Blueberry cheese is the best!! I love the combination of sweet and salty. Always hits the spot! I had some from a farm in Vermont 🙂

Where Wallace and Gromit? 😀

Wensleydale is amazing. Cranberry is good, too. But Once in a Waitrose in London I found a Wensleydale with Stem Ginger. I sometimes have erotic dreams about that cheese.

I’m not ashamed of this fact.
