If that was truly 100% grass fed, that much fat content would likely give it a very weird taste a lot of people dislike. I have very high doubts that thing is entirely grass fed and would be willing to bet it’s grain finished to get that marbling.

Dame, now that’s a steal bro
TBSchemer
Are they sauteing that grass in butter!?
halawani98
That marbling is incredible

Your wife is right, but you’re righter.

That’s not steak. That’s Fri date-nite dinner for 2 with wife. Just get a good bottle of red wine.
Hispanic_milkLover
Probably not 100% grass fed but who cares for $8 a lb , look at the fat, it’s pretty yellow and not super white so the cows definitely ate grass. Great marbling. Nice steaks hope you enjoyed them

So what’s the difference between good marbling and that disease I keep reading about on this sub?

Tell the wife that she needs to cut back on her makeup and wine… See how well that goes over… I dunno why women think it’s okay to tell men things like this while at the same time not making any additional contributions or cutbacks themselves…

That doesnt look grass fed to me.

So buy your steak and she can have a salad.

I’ve only seen lamb sold by thomas farms. So this is Australian beef?
BaronVonSilver91
Chicken is $5/lb now. At this point, it would have been irresponsible of you not to get that.

Unfortunately, my eyes can’t cook it. I still feel so damn hungry.

This is coming from a medical provider who LOVES steak, especially well marbled rib-eye and sirloin. I am not sure of your age/risk factors, but your wife is right! The #1 killer in the world is heart disease. There is a definitive link between high intake of red & processed meats and increased risk for heart disease, cancer and premature death. My advice: enjoy, but KNOW your risks such as calcium score (get from Cardiac CT), cholesterol levels, blood pressures, chemistries (glucose, HbA1c, etc) & other health conditions before it’s too late.

Reminds me of the time my SIL forbid my brother from buying BBQ sauce. He would buy a new bottle every time he went shopping.

I don’t eat beef and even I would have a hard time turning that down!

I am impressed by how you guys find great steaks at great prices.
There’s no way that’s grass fed regular steak. But yeah I couldn’t walk way from that either.
I’d say you need to cut back on how much you spend on your wife.
That’s GRASSFED? Not sure if I believe it, but that’s amazing steak either way
I would’ve gotten a few whole strips at that price.
13 bucks for *TWO* super fatty steaks,,, holy shit
Gimmeeeeeeeee
where are you finding this ? I live near SFO and the local stores don’t have this stuff.
I miss the mid west 🙁
