A very special wine and experience. Drinking birth year in the south of France on a beautiful evening with my closest family.
Initially still very acidic with deep woody notes. Opened into earthy, mushrooms, leather and mahogany. More time in the glass revealed a surprising amount of primary fruit flavours; baked plum, cinnamon and vanilla notes.

Fun trivia fact: this is the wine that Tony and Christaphuh stole a bunch of cases of in The Sopranos season 6. Same vintage too.
