Seems a lot more like an Italian cutlet sandwich than Katsu but looks delicious! Not sure you can toss Italian cheese, Italian meat, basil, leave off Katsu sauce and still call it a Katsu Sandwhich. Plus it’s on Italian/french bread not milk bread.
Looks incredible but we got a Theseus ship situation here I think. How many ingredients can you replace before it becomes a different type of sandwich?

Wish we’d seen a cut to show the moist level of the chicken. Because if it was fried just right, this is a damn near perfect sandwich.
