This is the Stax location off Taylor near west side โ€” incredible!

Their coffee is from Sparrow roastery – fresh and slightly acidic.

  • Spanish Harlem Omelette – $14.50 chorizo, fire roasted tomatoes, poblano, queso fresco, topped with pico de gallo, & chipotle

  • Breakfast Wrap – $13.75 scrambled egg, bacon, pepper jack, queso fresco, cheddar, & pico de gallo

  • Pistachio Pancakes (these were mini ๐Ÿ‘€)

  • Dem red skin potatoes w/ peppers and onions thooooo

We didnโ€™t have to wait for a table and the food came out quickly and hot. Service was great. Literally the only downside was the 3% credit card fee womp womp womp. Absolutely recommend!

Stax was so popular when it first opened years ago. That whole strip on Taylor was so nice. What happened?

I also very strongly recommend getting an Italian sub at Conti di Savoia across the street – hidden gem.

I love Stax. The Embassy down the street is also great for an Irish breakfast/watch an EPL game.

I usually go to the West Town one. One of my favorite breakfast spots in the city.

This and Sweet Maple are great breakfast spots on Taylor St.

The Lumberjack skillet from Stax is great if you’re a slut for a savory breakfast like myself.

Immediately recognized that as the Spanish Harlem. Can confirm – SO good

Stax is incredible. The cinnamon roll waffles are my favorite breakfast item in the city. Also the cookie butter pancakes are to die for. I would kill for them to be open for dinner
