Does anyone have any information about this wine?
Still drinkable?
Is it a wine that would age well if drinkable?

It’s a Kabinett Riesling which is used to designate dry to off dry style of Riesling coming from some of Germanys highest quality of wines. Some do have the potential to age well, best way to know is to open it!

This is a very basic wine not intended for aging. “Zeller schwarze Katz” is known for mass-produced wines for export and as a general rule the average quality of German wines in the 70s/80s was extremely low.

I would bot expect this to be enjoyable, but doesn’t hurt to try.

I’ve had similar style wines from the 80’s a few times. They were never outstanding but still enjoyable and interesting to try.
