What kind of grass is Thomas feeding these cows? $12.98 a pound for some serious prime grade strips? Don't mind if I do.

The at is a LOT of marbling for grass fed. My guess is it’s a marketing thing and not “100% grass fed”. All cattle are grass fed but the vast majority (in the US at least) are grain finished.

  3. Those are beautiful strips at a good price!

Talk to a real cattle farmer that knows what it takes to raise cattle. Theres no such thing as 100% grass fed beef. Only grass finished as needed for “standards” to get a premium. They take them off the mixed silage and kick them out to pasture a few weeks before shipping them off.

Even if they were 100% grass fed, guess whats on the grass? Yep, fertilizer and pesticides. Guess what they give the cow so it doesnt die when it gets sick? Yep, antibiotics. They just have a minimum wait period before they can be sent to slaughter so it clears their system.

Are these from Aldi’s! I swear the last two pack of ribeye ran me $10 and they were the most tender ribeyes let alone steaks I’ve ever had!

  5. Just cause they are grass fed doesn’t mean they aren’t also fed grains.
