Let me tell you… I went on vacation and I took Wasaberta (that's my sourdough''s name) with me…
I brought all my gear: dutch oven, racket, flour, thermometer…
And when I got to the place I had rented there was no oven 😅
There was an air fryer, I tried to make bread a couple of times but it didn't work 😐

So I made a couple of pizza doughs and here is the result 😋😋

Mom: “We have pizza at home…”

Don’t take this as an attack on your character. You are a beautiful, wonderful person I am sure.

This thing you have made looks like a store-bought tortilla with ketchup and mayonnaise put on top. What have you done.

If you’re gonna grill pizza (which can be amazing) forget the sauce, slice up tomatoes, season, grill. When they get nice and tender smash them onto the grilling pizza dough then top. Perfection

  4. Looks like a giant pita with toppings. Hope it tasted good!

Dough road show often throws you challenges that you have to overcome. If you have a Dutch oven with you, you can bake bread in it over a campfire, but you need to reduce the bottom heat and load up the top with coals. I have made many good loaves on cramping trips with the scout troop and the family.

Why are you baking on a sheet of corrugated steel?

  6. Have you watched the Bon Appetit series on every way to cook some thing? They did an episode on pizza and…lemme just say that you didn’t need to do this experiment yourself 😂

You’re getting dogged on here but man if it’s good it’s good, right?

Impressive for the amount of improvisation you went through!

    Be proud of your pie!

I like to cook the dough a bit then flip it, add toppings then cover. Cooks all the way through that way.

Get unglazed tiles and throw on there to heat up and cook on. Makes it work really well over a grill.

Somewhere, right now, there is an Italian person crying because of this…

  13. Kill it with fire!!!

To your credit OP, maybe that’s exactly what you tried.

  14. For a second I thought I was on r/pizza and I thought I was going to shit

No judgement, I’m just curious, was it necessary to put coals on top of the “oven” ?

Would it not have been fine without it, considering the “Weber-esque” situation you put together there?

  16. At first I thought it was some kind d of jello or some other see-through substance
Edit: nvm there are more pictures

I’ve seen convicts make better pizzas in prison

I’m hope you had a better looking barbecue so that fire didn’t go to waste
