2nd attempt at cinnamon rolls. They aren’t pretty but they tasted really good! Also I used a regular icing instead of a cream cheese. My family slicked them in 1 day!

In my experience the prettier the cinnamon roll the more disappointing the eating. The uglier the cinnamon roll the better it tastes.

You really can’t go wrong with cinnamon rolls. The dough, the butter, the sugar, and the icing makes it a win (I guess as long as you don’t burn them).
I personally hated making them though, *until* I discovered the pizza cutter trick. In case you haven’t seen it, when you have your dough all rolled out into a rectangle and your filling on it- you use a pizza cutter to cut strips that you individually roll up. I love this because for some reason it’s way less stressful and the rolls don’t get smooshed. It can be messier depending on the filling, but I make cinnamon rolls like once every two weeks now instead of once or twice a year.
I also use my go to bread recipe just so I don’t have to think about the dough at all. The recipe I use makes two loaves of sandwich bread, so sometimes I will actually make the recipe as normal and use half the dough for a sandwich loaf and half for cinnamon rolls.
