Followed the directions on the presto website. Canned quart jars with the recommended headspace for both venison and beef but both cooked down much more than anticipated. Is this normal or should o be concerned?

What cut was it that shrank that much? I mean… that jar isn’t even 1/2 full.

Not sure if you are interested in hot packing it next time…it will always be a more aesthetically looking product compared to raw pack and you can use the broth for gravy or to use in soup.
