  1. I’m just confused. This can’t be legit? Seems sketchy and makes me think he’s selling raccoon meat or some bullshit

If it’s anything like the steak tent sales near me, they lure you in with this “deal,” and then try to sell you on $500 worth of other stuff. When you tell them you only want the advertised steaks, they reach into a freezer and give you probably the worst steaks you’ve ever had.

Usually these places will try to slap a bunch of other deals on you before they give you the deal on the ribeyes. I wouldn’t waste your time.

From what I’ve seen on other posts, these steaks are usually thin and tough. Maybe it’s worth a shot if you like cheesesteaks, or the sort of steak you’d get from a chain diner.

It’s usually super thin, tenderized mechanically, and the meat is from dairy cows as opposed to beef cattle so it’s lesser quality.

I guess it’d be okay if you were gonna cook them for like cheesesteak sammies but as far as grilling a nice thick steak, you likely won’t get that there.

I hate it when they don’t call out the unit weights. Are they 20-10 ounce steaks or 20-4 ounce steaks?

No way dude- it’s a scam. They’ll show you nice meat then give you a box of shitty gross meat that’s cheap

I fell for ut and they are razor thin! Sucks

as been said by others, avoid these guys, reviews are horrible. the 20 steaks are tiny gristly garbage

$2lb beef. Buy it. Turn it into stew, grind it and do a hundred things with it

They seem to be at the Tractor Supply stores here in western Mass. I’ve never bothered even checking them out, as I just assumed they would be of the same “quality” as the shit steaks my father-in-law used to get at Dollar Tree.

  11. Reminds me of when a friend invited a bunch of people over to his house for a grilled steak dinner.  A few minutes after I got there he pulled the box out of his freezer and I just laughed my ass off.  They were the quarter inch ones like in OP’s pic.

They covered this on the Andy Griffith show

The 20 ribeyes for $40 is effectively just sandwich steaks. That’s what they call them. They’ll just try and upsell the better cuts of meats but the cost of the meat isn’t actually very good per pound.

If you would even considering buying the meat from that tent you may as well go to dollar tree and buy their frozen meats.

  14. He probably also sells Mackerel and Blueberries.

DM me a pin, I’ll go check it out and report back.

20 ribeyes cut with a deli slicer maybe.

  17. Those are going to be paper thin steaks my dude, I fell for that a long time ago.

  18. stevenbrotzel91

These people go from city to city. It’s a scam from what I hear.

  19. Ya I bought these one time and never finished. Wasn’t really worth thawing out and cooking. But I imagine it could be sandwich meat or something. They are so thin. Trying to save money I ended up just wasting money.

I think Phil Collins sets up right next to him, he sells mackerel

  22. Dextrofunk

It could be people, but steak is steak, right? right???

  23. AdLivid8916

Their steaks are shite. Me and my husband fell for it. Spent $500 on the steak box and you literally have to beat the steaks like they owe you money to make them somewhat edible.

I bought some hamburger patties 12 years ago from a guy in MD with “Capitol Meats” on his truck. I tried one bite of a patty as a burger, then chopped it up and added cheese, ketchup, mayo, mustard and pickles and it still tasted like shit. I’m glad I paid by check, it was never cashed.
