As an Eastern European Jew, there’s a lot of familiar food on this menu. Fancy kugel, slivovitz, devilled eggs. Which is fun!

I would say this restaurant does a better job than its sister parachute (which was not a banger, unpopular opinion) at giving a fresh perspective to familiar foods. I had a great time, but here’s me being nitpicky:

  • half the foods needed a tiny whisper of salt
  • the truffle oil on the lokshyna was not detectable, it’s a strong truffle scent but I’m sure it’s just artificial truffle aroma. Doesn’t add anything besides price to the dish, which I find annoying

That’s a pretty short list in hindsight. I am not a huge fan of most popular restaurants on this subreddit, so I’m usually skeptical. But I loved this place and I will be back!

And the fried olives are an absolute BANGER seriously do not miss those
