I work at a church and I had a wonderful Pastor say that he was going to bring in canning jars for me as he knows that I like to can. Well lo and behold he brings in these jars and they are all very old ball blue jars! Thanks to the wonderful information in the canning sub group. I knew I couldn’t use them for canning, and I advised him that they can’t be used for canning, and explained that they were actually valuable as decorative pieces. He was so appreciative of the information he did give me one to keep and he is going to sell the rest and donate the funds back into the church. I couldn’t help but laugh at the situation as I was so close to a lovely collection of triple loop and Perfect Mason blues. I just couldn’t have taken them without telling him though!

I wonder what he sold them for. Sometimes doing the right thing sucks. Honest people make the world better

I mean they are cool but are they really that valuable?
