An incredible tasting menu of modern Mediterranean cuisine all done with a kitchen staff of two and best of all, we are inside the kitchen and got to see the chef and his pastry chef in action up close and personal.
Every bite was fantastic with the standouts being the mushroom pasta with shaved truffles, the love soup which was tom yum goong inspired and something the chef made to woo his future wife. The hamachi in a sake based beutre Blanc safe with fish eggs and finger limes was also a standout. And the caviar in the chocolate dessert worked surprisingly well.
If you want a truly special dining experience, I highly recommend getting the kitchen counter table for two at UMA. You won't be disappointed.
